Joy of Swinging -- Day 240

Amber and I went to a going away party for some friends, tonight. It was held at a park and this little cutie was also in attendance. She was a friendly little girl and was more than happy when she got put in the swing. I love taking pictures of little kids swinging. It's probably the easiest way to get a good smiling photo. :)

Fiddling Around -- Day 239 -- Winner of Viewer's Choice Poll

Hannah has really been enjoying her fiddle. She's getting better every day. Today I went upstairs and there she was in our room making some good music, so I decided to take her photo. She was happy to oblige. :)

Farewell Friends -- Day 238

Our friends the Barton's were here for the weekend. They drove all the way from Colorado to join us for Pizza Night. :) I took this photo as they drove away Sunday evening. We were so happy to have them and enjoyed some sweet fellowship. Until next time!

Sisters at Falls -- Day 237

We had company, so we took a trip to Grand Falls. It is our favorite place to take visitors, because it's one of the few interesting locations in town. :) This photo shows the dam that is above the actual falls. I'll have to go back and get a shot of the falls another time.

Interesting Bug -- Day 236

Doing Their Job -- Day 235

I got home from work today, to find a group of police on our street searching a car. Walked inside just as Ikar, the German Shepard was being praised for finding what they were looking for. I went inside and photographed from the window. My brother's informed me that someone had been arrested and the K-9 unit had just arrived a few minutes before I got home. I liked how this shot turned out, because you can actually see the arrested man in the back of the patrol car. I didn't realize he was visible until later when I looked at this shot on my computer.

Lazy Dog -- Day 233

Another day of wondering what to take a photo of. I took some flower pictures and cantaloupe in the garden, then wandered around to the front porch to find my favorite dog looking as cute as ever. So guess who made it on my blog? Annie!

Tunnel in HDR -- Day 232

I've been wanting to take a photo of this tunnel for a long time. Today I got the chance. It is on the way to my Dad's work. Today I was called in to fill in for someone (My sister's and I work as Christmas help and fill in for people throughout the year) and I ended up driving myself, so on the way home I was able to stop and spend as long as I wanted being a photographer (I don't usually like to stop for photo shoots when I have other people in the car with me.)

Photo details: Canon EOS Digital Rebel, This is an HDR image. It is composed of 3 images taken at different settings. I used Dynamic Photo HDR to put the images together.

With the LORD and His Dog -- Day 231 -- Winner of Viewer's Choice Poll

This morning, my siblings called me out on our condo balcony to take a photo of our friend Braden down by the lake reading his Bible. He didn't know we were all watching him. :) We kept quiet as I snapped a few photos. He was so far away I don't think we would have disturbed him anyway. I was glad for my long zoom lens. I loved how the trees framed Braden and his dog perfectly.
