Monopoly -- Day 120
A Monopoly game between two boys named Benjamin. :) I just love the mess of the table! :) So fun to see the plates left from dinner, empty cups and bottles, messy money, calculators. :D I think this was near the end. Can you tell who's winning? Benjamin won. :P

Brownie Batter -- Day 119
Chocolate! Oh yeah! (Don't worry he only breathed on the batter. The tongue never came in contact. :P)

Pecan Sticks -- Day 118
I spent the morning at the Farmers Market for opening day. :) My sister works for one of the baker's there who makes German Pastries. His Pecan Sticks are delicious!

Basket of Pansies -- Day 116
More spring flowers. I found this basket on the table when I got home. Couldn't help photographing it. I got Hannah to pose for me. :)

Beyond the Frame -- Day 115
I Thought I'd go a little different today. A friend asked me how I got the white background of one of my recent photos and I thought I'd show a "beyond the frame" shot. :D I didn't get to far beyond the frame, but this will give you an idea. I don't always set up in the same place. For the rose picture last week I had my posterboard on the front porch on an overcast day, so the lighting was all natural. Today the wind and sunset weren't cooperating so I set up inside with a desk lamp. :) If you'd like to see the finished product of this photoshoot visit www.lamariephotography.com.

Pennies -- Day 113
On this date in 1983 mine and Amber's best friend was born. :) I thought I'd take a picture of pennies in celebration of her birthday. When we three were young we started a tradition of giving each other pennies on our birthdays. One for each year. Happy Birthday, Best Friend. :D

A Wise Thought -- Day 112
Tonight was Chinese food at our house. We made everything except the fortune cookies. :) If we had made them, they would have had better sayings inside. This was probably the only real good one among the 18+ that got eaten. :D

Tree Shadow -- Day 111
I worked late last night and didn't get home until around 11:15 pm. I hadn't taken any pictures all day except a few shots of my orange slices that I ate around 10:30. Not much to choose from as far as subjects go at nearly 12am. :) I decided to photograph my little relaxation fountain. I tried to get the waterfall part, but it didn't turn out all that great. I wasn't in the mood to set up a tripod and wake my sisters with a flash, so I focused on the cool tree shadows instead. I haven't quite decided what I think of this photo, I don't know if I like it or not, what do you think?

Curiosity Killed the Chick -- Day 110
I know I just posted a chick picture the day before yesterday, but I couldn't resist this one that I captured today. I think this is "Lucy" (Yes, she was named after Lucille Ball). Nate was quite interested to look at the chicks, but as soon as one got close he would bat it across the table. Oops! We saved the chicks from the big giant Nate and only two of them got to take the slide across the table. No chicks or little boys were harmed in the making of this photograph. :D

Chicklet -- Day 108
Corrine, the daughter of the family I work for, just bought herself four chicks today. She is beyond excited! Here's one of the little chicks just after bringing them home. Hopefully all four will grow up to be great laying hens. :)

Pink Rose -- Day 106
I picked this rose yesterday. It was only a small bud about an inch and a half across when I picked it and this morning it was opened up and looking beautiful. :)

Silver Maple Leaf -- Day 105
I spotted this little leaf on the sidewalk while I was on my way to my neighbors rose garden. I took a large batch of rose photos, but decided to post this one, since it was a change from the many flowers. :) It was hard decision though, maybe all the roses will show up in future blog posts over at www.lamariephotography.com. :)

Under the Roses -- Day 103
The roses in our neighbor's garden have bloomed early this year. :) Everything has actually, but I really noticed the roses. I just love it when the roses bloom. I wish I had a rose garden to enjoy, but I don't want to do the garden work involved in having one. :)

Out of the Fog -- Day 100
I was going to do something special when I made it to the 100th photo, but then it snuck up on me. Oh well.
It was a foggy morning and I stopped to take a picture of these cows on my way to work. I think they were curios. :)

Under the Car -- Day 99
This is how we spend Easter Sunday. :) After church that is. :) We headed out to Kansas to get our new car off the side of the highway. The night before Dad and Amber had left it there because of a tire issue. Here the tire has been changed and Dad's checking things over to make sure the car is secure on the Dolly.

Vintage Telephone -- Day 96
Look at this vintage looking phone that my employer has. :) I thought up a photo idea that I needed an old phone for and remembered that my employer had this gem. :)

Through the Microscope -- Day 94
"Did you know that when you put an Azalea blossom under the microscope, it looks like it's made out of little tiny red diamonds?" -- Ben (Age 10)
The Azalea's are blooming a lot earlier this year (Here is a link to 2010's Azalea Photo.) When I got home and saw the above quote on my Mom's Facebook page. I decided I needed to see these diamonds for myself. I wasn't really thinking I'd take a picture, but then after seeing how pretty it was, I got out my tripod and set up the camera. I'm going to have to do that again sometime. :D

Kangas from Kenya -- Day 92
We have a friend who recently moved to Kenya, Africa. Mom bought these Kangas from our friend and they came in the mail this week. The history of this East African cloth is quite interesting. Read about it here. I think we're going to make skirts out of them. :)
