E is for Eraser -- Day 220

You thought I was done with the Alphabet project didn't you? Well, I'm not done, although it is nearing completion. I decided to add in all the long vowel sounds as well as the short. I still need to find an Iguana or an Indian.  The short i is not easy to find.

Pretty Pencils -- Day 188

Today my sisters and I went to a friend's bridal shower. Everything was pink. :) Even the pencils for the games had been spray painted pink and decorated with pink crepe paper flowers. I took a few more pictures at the shower, but this was my favorite. I also took a photo of a cute Great Dane puppy, but decided that this pencil picture was more artsy. :)

Dried Roses -- Day 184

Late at night I wandered around my room trying to find something to photograph. I saw these roses that my sister, Hannah, had dried from my cousin's funeral almost 2 years ago. They fit the bill for a good photo. :)

Green Beans in the Raw -- Day 169

Today I'm being lazy. We were snapping the ends off of 7lbs of beans from our garden and instead of thinking up something creative to take a photo of, I decided to get  a closeup of a pile of beans. Not very exciting, but very yummy. :)

Stretch -- Day 156

I'm home again, after a weekend away, and I'm again falling back on my alphabet project because I don't have any other ideas for a photo (I'm also trying to get all these photos taken so that everyone will believe me that I really am almost done:)). "Stretch" the ostrich gets to be my subject for "O" since I don't have a zoo nearby. :) He's so much cuter than a real ostrich anyway.

Spaghetti -- Day 150

Today I was again collecting alphabet photos. :) N is for noodles was next on my list. I took a photo of macaroni noodles while at work and then came home to find that we were having spaghetti for supper, and photographed those noodles too. I have decided to use my spaghetti photo instead of my macaroni photo for the ABC project. I took a plain noodle picture and then added the meatballs which makes for a way better photo of the day. :)

Candy Machine -- Day 149

C is for Candy. You guys thought I was almost done with the aphabet huh? I'm not going in order as you may have figured out. :) Amber and I went to get our car inspected and this candy machine was in the waiting room. I already had an older candy picture, but decided to take a new one. So here it is. This machine featured my favorites. Skittles and M&M's

"Ancient" Pay Phone-- Day 143

While exploring the "Forest" with the kids I nanny, we found this "old" pay phone. I know pay phones aren't really that old, but think about the last time you used one. I bet it's been awhile. :) Cell phones have taken over. I wish the receiver had still been there I might have brought it home and kept it as an antique. :D

Everyone Needs an Alice -- Day 127

It was getting late and I hadn't taken a single photo. I took my camera to bed with me. :) Amber suggested I take a photo of something I could see from my bed and I made the comment that photos of clutter don't look good when it's your own clutter. :)
Then I saw the Alice box. It totally makes the photo. :) Everyone needs an Alice to clean up their messes. :) I just happen to have an Alice box among my pile of stuff. It has crafting supplies in it. :) If you've never heard of Alice, check out www.alice.com because "Everyone needs an Alice."

Hannah's Fiddle -- Day 122

My sister got a fiddle a little while back. She's been praying for a fiddle and some friends found this one for her at a really good deal at the local antique mall. Hannah had just about enough saved up to get it. Now she's been working on her skills. Today I had planned to take my Dad's photo with his guitar, but he ended up being busy and we decided to do it tomorrow. So today I decided to get another shot for my alphabet project. V is for Violin. I'm thinking this photo will be used for more than that project. :)

Sewing Project -- Day 35

Started a new project this weekend. Actually it isn't new, I started it several years ago, just put it away for awhile. Now that I finished my last major project, I needed something new to work on. I have way too many projects going and I'm hoping to get some of them completed. :)

Photo details: Canon EOS Digital Rebel, Exposure time 1/2 sec, Aperture f/5.6, ISO 100, Focal Length

Grocery Day -- Day 12

I decided to try something new today. Tilt-Shift photography. I took a quick shot of the groceries spread across the floor and applied some tilt-shift with an online program. It's supposed to make it look miniature. What do you think?

Photo details: Canon EOS Digital Rebel, Exposure time 1/6 sec, Aperture f/5.0, ISO 100, Focal Length 40.0 mm, edited in Photoshop, Tilt Shift applied with TiltShift Maker.
