Peeking in -- Day 31

I took Ben on a short excursion with my camera this afternoon. We did a little exploring hoping to find something in our neighborhood that we'd never seen before. We've taken pictures at this little shed before, so nothing new there. But we were intrigued as to what was inside. :) I liked how this shot turned out. It makes me imagine all the secrets hidden inside. :) We've looked inside before. It's just old junk.

A Boy and a Stick -- Day 30

I don't know what he was thinking, but whatever it was, it's common among boys. Give a boy a stick and he's happy. :D

Dried Flowers -- Day 29

I found these tiny dried flowers along an alley in our neighborhood.

Thankfulness is.... -- Day 28

Today I went to a house dedication for some friends. These friends lost their house in the May 22nd Tornado and they were blessed by some churches in Illinois who followed the Spirit's leading and raised money and came and built them a brand new house. This is the wall in their new dining room. It's a beautiful house built with much love.

Best Friends -- Day 27

Today I spent the afternoon with my two best friends. We went out for double dip ice-cream cones, and than hung out and chatted for several hours before Amber and I came home. It was a great afternoon!

What is Beyond the Fog? -- Day 26

Stopped and took this on my way to work. Fog is so neat! I love how it makes the whole place look so different. I'll have to take another shot of this view so you can see what is beyond it. :)

Milk and Grahams -- Day 25

Sorry about all the food pictures. I'm busy during the day and then get home and about the only thing that seems interesting to photograph is food. :)

Blue -- Day 24

Tonight I played around with York Pieces. My favorite color is blue, so I decided to highlight that color. :) One of these days I'll have to get some M&M's and play around with them. That would be even more fun. :)

Barn in a Field -- Day 23

This shed/barn is on my way to work. The morning sun just made it look extra beautiful this morning. I just like old barns. I don't know why.

Dandy -- Day 22

Took a walk to look for a photo. This is what I found. Everything around here is brown and mostly dead looking, but the dandelions always seem to be there providing a little color. :)

Five Brothers -- Day 19

To get the full affect, please click HERE to see it larger (if your browser automatically fits it to the page click to zoom in).
I couldn't choose just one, photo. Sometimes it's just as hard to choose the best photo as it is to take a photo of five little boys. :) Today, I thought it would be fun to try to capture all five in the same photo. :) I really should have thought ahead and waited until the sixth brother was home from school so there would be a once in a lifetime shot of all six. :) But, oh well, I guess it just means I'll have to attempt it again sometime. Today's photoshoot wasn't too bad.... after I bribed them with candy. :D
Here you have it. The youngest half of the kids I get to spend my days with. Aren't they cuties!

PS I left out the blurry picture of Matt perched on the back of the couch with Nate almost sitting on Jon's head. :) I didn't have time to focus properly cause I had to rescue Jon. :D And I don't post blurry photos on my blog, so you'll just have to use your imaginations. :P

Orange -- Day 18

My employer gave me an orange as I walked out the door, today. My Dad and I carpool since I drive past his work to go to mine, so when I went to pick him up tonight I put the Light Box to work. I like the photo, but I liked the orange more. It was really good!

Cardinal Dinner -- Day 17

Today I watched the Cardinals eat their dinner at our neighbor's feeders. There were at least 4 cardinal pairs. I took a lot of pictures, but never was able to get them all in a good shot. The sun was sinking and the bush they congregated in was not lit very well for my old sensor. :) But I liked how this one turned out.

White and Red -- Day 15

The weather here has been almost spring like, but we still have winter decor in our house. I decided I better put some of it to use before we take it all down to put up the spring decorations. :) I'm taking a free ecourse on Photoshop. So far I've learned a few fun things. I'm looking forward to another week of the class. If you would be interested in the course go to this link http://www.kimklassencafe.com/elements-skinny-mini-ecourse/ registration is closed for this month, but it looks like there will be another class in March.

Passport -- Day 14

Today my Twin Sis was excited to receive her passport card in the mail. :) I also got mine, but her excitement exceeded mine. She is looking forward to a trip into cold country to visit an extra special friend. :D

Pizza -- Day 13

Annie Jane -- Day 12

Today I remembered that yesterday was my puppy's 4th birthday. It's a good thing dogs don't keep track of such things. :) So today I made her a new sweater (don't worry it isn't hand knitted by me. [I'm not that fast] It's re-purposed from an old sweater) and set up a photography studio. She looks a little bored in this photo, but really she was intent on the next treat I had for her. :D

Moss -- Day 11

Around here moss grows in January. :D Of course it isn't as bright a green as it will be come spring and summer, but it's still green. :)

Dolly -- Day 10

Monday, January 9, 2012

CINCH -- Day 9

Well, today's subject can't really be compared to yesterday's, but oh well. :D I decided to set up a studio shot, and do a product image.
It's the new year, and everyone likes to make New Years Resolutions. What better time is there to try out the Shaklee Cinch Inch Loss Program
Today my Mom's Cinch Transformation Pack arrived in the mail. She's excited about starting her new program. If you're interested in trying this program, which has a 100% get your money back, if it doesn't work guarantee, check out covington.myshaklee.com and search for "Cinch Transformation." For a limited time you can buy 3 months of Cinch and get your 4th month free.

How's that for advertising. :)

Girlies -- Day 8

Today we visited some friends who were vacationing near here. It was great to see them again after a couple years. Amber and our four little friends posed for my photo of the day. :)

Shootout -- Day 7

This evening I went outside on a quest for today's photo. Sometimes I just happen upon the perfect photo op, but sometimes I have to look for it. I took some random pictures and wasn't really liking how they were turning out. Then I looked and there were my brother hunkered down on the slope at the edge of our yard with guns ready. :) I decided to shoot them before they shot me. I have a Canon that I was sure could over power their pistols. They insisted they won, but I've got evidence that my gun was more powerful. :D

Chocolate Boy -- Day 6

Today, I got Nate to "pose" for my photo of the day. He likes my camera most of the time, at least the reaching out and grabbing the lens part of it. :) I had to clean a few finger smudges off the lens. :D Here he was giggling about something, probably my silly antics to get him to look, smile and stay still at the same time. Taking pictures of chocolate skin is a challenge. Nate's skin is actually darker than this picture shows. He's more of Dark Chocolate Boy. :) But the flash washes out the skin tone on brown skin just as it does peach skin. I think I'm going to learn a lot this year. Stay tuned, I'm sure I'll feature the rest of my little chocolate friends as the year progresses.

Little Girl in the Window -- Day 5

That little girl is Vanessa, the sweetest little girl I've ever met. She's such a joy! Everyday when I leave work she waves at me and laughs from the window. :D
