My Buick in the Ditch -- Day 59
Things I'm thankful for.... Dad was with me when I slid off the road, the 4 oncoming cars had passed before I lost control, The blessing of a friend who offered his warm car for us sit in and waited with us for over 2 hours as we waited for the tow truck, Bible reading, Prayer, Dad and I both followed the urge we had earlier in the day to wear/take our boots to the wedding, The rubbermaid tub I keep in my trunk kept the leftovers from the wedding lunch from getting my trunk dirty, Most of said leftovers survived stacked nicely on their plates, None of the glass bottles for recycle that I had in my trunk broke, Insurance that covers tow trucks, Integrity Towing who pulled my car out of the ditch, We were able to pump up my tires and drive safely to Monett on a badly bubbled tire, We made it to Walmart with 10 minutes to spare to get a new tire before the tire and lube closed, Chocolate, My Buick Park Avenue who proved to be a great car, no flipping, and no dents that I noticed even though I took out one of those striped signs that marked the culvert, No one was hurt and God protected and answered our prayers.

Colorado Rockies -- Day 33
Just 5 months ago I stood atop that tallest mountain, Mt Evans. :) I didn't think at the time that I'd get to be in Colorado twice so close together. I was so blessed to get to have an unexpected visit with my Aunt, Uncle, and Cousins. :)

Hoar Frost -- Day 30
Today I saw Hoar Frost.
Before I came to Canada, I was talking to God and mentioned that I
thought it would be neat if I could see real hoar frost while I was up
here. Since my visit is nearing it's end, I didn't think I'd see it, but
today, Amber and I took a little detour to see Frozen Lake Metigoshe.
As we drove down the road we came across a section of the prairie that
was covered in Frost.

366 in Watercolor -- Day 366
I've reached the end! There was snow on the ground this morning, so I
figured I'd put to use. :) I've seen people use watercolor to paint snow
and today was the perfect day to try it out. It was a little melty
though. :)
I've been asked what I'll do with this blog. I think I'll leave it here for now. I might need it in 2014. :) I'm not planning to do a 365 project in 2013, but if I stick to my pattern of every other year, I'll need it again. :)
In the meantime, those of you who actually follow this blog, you can find my official photography blog at www.lamariephotography.com and my personal blog (which also includes photography) at www.angelathetwin.com. I'm hoping to update both of those blogs on a more regular basis this next year. :D

Excited Faces -- Day 363
The kids were sooooo excited today, when it was discovered that snow
flakes were falling from the sky. They danced around on the deck for a
while trying to catch the flakes on their tongues. Matt said, "I want
bigger snow." I told him he'd have to ask God about that. A few minutes
later the flakes were bigger. I asked Matt if he'd asked God for "Bigger
Snow" and he said, yes, with a big smile on his face. :) The flurries
didn't last long and there wasn't any accumulations, but the kids
enjoyed it while it was there and were ready to come inside before too
long.

White and Red -- Day 15
The weather here has been almost spring like, but we still have winter decor in our house. I decided I better put some of it to use before we take it all down to put up the spring decorations. :) I'm taking a free ecourse on Photoshop. So far I've learned a few fun things. I'm looking forward to another week of the class. If you would be interested in the course go to this link http://www.kimklassencafe.com/elements-skinny-mini-ecourse/ registration is closed for this month, but it looks like there will be another class in March.

Nightime Snow -- Day 76
We got a snow storm for the first day of spring instead of a rainstorm. :) Not exactly what anyone was expecting. I braved the "Wintery Mix" with tripod, plastic bag, and camera in hand. I would have taken a photo facing the opposite direction, which would have probably been more interesting, but the wind was blowing and I was trying to avoid the wetness hitting my lens. :)Photo details: Canon EOS Digital Rebel, Exposure time 6 sec, Aperture f/4.5, ISO 100, Focal Length 30.0 mm, Tripod, Taken in RAW, Processed with Digital Photo Professional.

Snow Fall -- Day 33
We got more snow this morning. This time there were big flakes, or clusters of flakes, I should say. It covered the ground really fast, but once it stopped falling everything melted away adding to the muddy mess that was already covering the ground. It looked pretty while it lasted. :)

55.0 mm, Taken in RAW, Processed with Digital Photo Professional.

Snow Hideout -- Day 29
We started building an igloo with this last snow fall. Ben agreed to pose for me behind the snowy wall.

Bistro -- Day 27
Went on a walk in the snow today and stopped by a new little Bistro that just opened down the street. Such a cute little place, I'm going to have to go for a sandwich sometime. :D
Photo details: Canon EOS Digital Rebel, Exposure time 1/640 sec, Aperture f/13, ISO 800 (I didn't realize I had the ISO so high, or I would have changed it), Focal Length
70.0 mm, Taken in RAW, Processed with Digital Photo Professional.
