Inside the Piano -- Day 332

Our piano's are being tuned! :) Our pianos have needed tuning for years, and we recently discovered that a friend of ours knows how to do it. William lives in Texas but is currently in the area for a wedding this weekend, so he came by to tune our pianos for free. What a blessing!

Recorder Practice -- Day 325

I've been trying to learn the recorder. I've never learned to read music, so I'm learning that in the process. Tonight I had no ideas of to take a photo of. I took this just before heading to bed. It wasn't an easy task! Have you ever tried to take a photo when you have to hold something for the photo and hold the camera and push the shutter button? I put to use my human duopod sister, Abbie. :) My tripod couldn't hold the camera if the correct position for a photo that was from the players viewpoint. :) So Abbie held my camera for me and I used my shutter release cable to push the button and then put my hand back in position and waited for the timer to snap the pictures. :)

Playing the Bones -- Day 126

After church several friends got out their musical instruments to do a little jamming. Here's Luke playing the bones. Photos just don't do it justice. I love to listen to and watch people play the bones. Maybe it's easier than it looks, but from what I can tell it takes some talent to make them sound good. :)

Hannah's Fiddle -- Day 122

My sister got a fiddle a little while back. She's been praying for a fiddle and some friends found this one for her at a really good deal at the local antique mall. Hannah had just about enough saved up to get it. Now she's been working on her skills. Today I had planned to take my Dad's photo with his guitar, but he ended up being busy and we decided to do it tomorrow. So today I decided to get another shot for my alphabet project. V is for Violin. I'm thinking this photo will be used for more than that project. :)

New Guitar -- Day 13

My younger sister, Hannah, won a new guitar in a Worship Song Contest. She is still a beginner at guitar, but she taught herself the piano, so she could be a professional guitarist before too long. :) She already looks like she's got it down.
