Fireworks -- Day 226
I've done it! I've finally figured out how to capture an image of fireworks!!! It was actually simple once I read a tutorial I found via Pinterest. I've tried for years to get them right, but only had one chance a year. Ever since the Joplin Blasters baseball team moved to town I've been meaning to get down to the stadium to capture their Friday Fireworks show. Kinda fun to see fireworks on a regular basis throughout the summer since we only live 4 blocks from the stadium. Tonight I hopped in my car and took tripod and camera and set up to shoot just minutes before the first blast.

Explosion of Lights -- Day 150
Baseball Season has started and we now live in the "Sports District." No, we didn't move, but the historic stadium two blocks down the road got a makeover and signs sprouted up that name our neighborhood as the Sports District. And apparently along with the new stadium came a new major league team who now calls the new stadium home and sends up a fireworks display every time they have a home game. :) That is why I was outside at 10 pm snapping pictures of fireworks. :)

Fireworks -- Day 181
Every year our city puts on a big fireworks display (This year it was on the 3rd instead of the 4th) We set out to the park around dusk and walked to our favorite spot just across the road from the hill where the fireworks are shot from. I had fun experimenting with my Bulb settings and my remote shutter button. :) This year's fireworks photos turned out much better than last year with my Canon G5.
