Cardinal Dinner -- Day 17

Today I watched the Cardinals eat their dinner at our neighbor's feeders. There were at least 4 cardinal pairs. I took a lot of pictures, but never was able to get them all in a good shot. The sun was sinking and the bush they congregated in was not lit very well for my old sensor. :) But I liked how this one turned out.

Goldfinch -- Day 217

We rarely see birds in our yard besides Robins and Starlings, but this summer we've had Goldfinches visiting our sunflowers. :) I've tried a couple times to get a photo, but I liked how today's photo turned out, best. :)

Feathery Babies -- Day 136

The baby robins hatched a week and a half ago, and here they are hunkered down in their nest. I was hoping to get a photo of them being a little more lively, but it was rainy today and I had to chase their mommy away to get this photo. She wasn't too happy, but everyone survived. :)

Protective Mama -- Day 121

This robin built her nest in Emelyn, Ellise and Camryn's treehouse while they were on vacation. It's going to be fun to watch the babies grow up. Right now there are four little blue eggs and mama robin has been faithful at keeping them warm and trying to keep us from peeking at them. :) Here she is giving me her warning chirps as I was standing below the tree house a few feet from her nest.

Dove Window -- Day 105

We went to Precious Moments Chapel today. I took quite a few photos, but didn't really take time to be extra creative. This is is my favorite of the day. This window was in the Artist's Room at the Chapel.

Nesting Dove -- Day 72

I was taking my dog outside and having a chat with my brother, Luke, when he nonchalantly mentioned that the morning dove was getting less afraid of people. I hadn't know we had a morning dove nesting in one of our cedar trees, so he showed me where it was and I thought it would make a good photo for today.
