Matt got a card in the mail from a friend of theirs in Canada. She sent him 2 Canadian dimes and a nickel. When Matt found out I was going on Vacation to Canada, he insisted that I must take his money and buy him something in Canada. Don't know if I'll be able to find him something for 25 cents. :)
We had some friends stop by for a visit today. Nathan is a coin collector and showed us some of his collection. These are a few that I found interesting. I wish I could remember the stories behind them, but I guess a photo will just have to do. The oldest coin in this photo is the small one with a lion on it. They used to use a punch to press the metal into the mold. On this particular coin you could see the marks from the punch on the reverse side.
