Choir Bus -- Day 41
Tonight we went to see the African Children's Choir perform. :) Those kids were so energetic and cute. They moved constantly on stage. I didn't have a good seat to get any pictures of the show, but when I went out to my car their tour bus was waiting so I captured it.

Excited Faces -- Day 363
The kids were sooooo excited today, when it was discovered that snow
flakes were falling from the sky. They danced around on the deck for a
while trying to catch the flakes on their tongues. Matt said, "I want
bigger snow." I told him he'd have to ask God about that. A few minutes
later the flakes were bigger. I asked Matt if he'd asked God for "Bigger
Snow" and he said, yes, with a big smile on his face. :) The flurries
didn't last long and there wasn't any accumulations, but the kids
enjoyed it while it was there and were ready to come inside before too
long.

Nativity Children -- Day 348
Tonight
Amber and I babysat these four. They love to dress up and thought it
would be fun to create a nativity scene. It turned out so cute!

Nate the Scholar -- Day 270
My sister has these old sunglasses that don't have lenses anymore and brought them to work to play with. Nate loved them! He was very proud to be wearing glasses. I just love this little cutie! Silly boy always seems to have a dirty face, whenever he decides to be cute for the camera. :P

Cart Ride -- Day 267
My brothers built this "cart" out of pieces of wood, an old bike and an old wagon. Today Ben took it for a ride down the hill. :) He has plans to build a trailer for it, so I can ride behind him. :P

Nate and a Popsicle -- Day 265
Today the "Ice Cream Man" rang the doorbell. :) Not normal for the ice-cream man, but today he had a special message, a neighbor had offered to buy all the kids their choice of an ice cream treat. All 10 kids got to make their selection from the ice-cream truck. :) Nobody complained! We don't know who the benevolent neighbor is, but all the Workman Kiddos say, "Thankyou."

A Note About Bacon -- Day 262
David, who is 9 years old, loves bacon. He used to ask me to cook bacon for him "like Grandma's bacon." Over the summer he asked me daily for bacon. After a few times of not getting it just right, I finally perfected "Bacon like Grandma's." :) I think David has been missing his bacon and today when I arrived at work I found this note. :) I had a plate full of bacon ready when he got off the school bus. :D

Ben on the Rails -- Day 245
We took a walk this morning and I captured Ben balancing on the rails. This track was so straight and so long. It just disappeared in the distance of the Canadian Plains

Twins in Orange -- Day 230
Today was the first Friday after school started which meant Mark and Luke were left home when all the other school kids got on the bus. They don't go to preschool on Fridays and were sad to be left behind. I'm thinking Friday is going to have to be the special day for a morning walk or something. :) This morning Amber and I took Mark, Luke and Jon across the street to see the horses and then explored a little down the road. We found this wood pile which made for a great place to hold two on the move boys still long enough for a photo that was actually in focus. :)

Wood Chip Play -- Day 222
Luke and Ben set to digging themselves a hole in the middle of the pile. Wood chips are more stable than leaves or hay. :D

A Pile of Laundry -- Day 221
This is today's pile of laundry. We came back from the weekend with all but a small load already washed, so it was just a matter of getting it all folded and put away, and keeping up with the 2-3 loads that seem to appear over night with 10 kids in the house. :)
I had been washing, drying and leaving the clean loads while I did other things around the house, but today, I made a point to focus on that pile. I usually just fold it in the laundry room, but today I took all those baskets of clean laundry and made one big pile in the family room. There I sat and folded, sorted, stacked and hung. :) That is after Nate posed for a photo and several of the other kids jumped into the pile as if it were a pile of leaves. :)

Brothers at the Farm -- Day 216
Had a great time visiting "The Farm" over the weekend. :) I took over 500 photos! Didn't take as many on Friday, so I had a harder time choosing which one to post. Finally decided on this one. The focus is off and I would have loved to not have left Luke's hand out of the frame, but even with those little "quirks" there's just something about the feel of the photo that I love. :)
