M&M Leap Day -- Day 60

Had an M&M party last night with my camera, my sister, her laptop, her Skype, and more importantly her guy on the other side of Skype. It was fun. Stephen had most of the M&Ms though. He brought 5 different kinds! Amber and I just had Peanut Butter and a few Dark Chocolate. We were happy though, since PB M&Ms are the best.  :)

Heart Necklace -- Day 59

Isn't this a pretty necklace? I borrowed it from a friend for a project I'm working on. Yes, I'm still working on my Alphabet Project. :) I've got a photo for every letter, but I was wanting a new Heart for H, so here it is.

If you want to see more from the Alphabet Project, I guess you'll have to surf through the archives. They're all mixed in and I don't think any of them have a specific tag to help locate them. :)

Bricks at Night -- Day 58

This was a shot in the dark. :) The plan was to get some shots of the Moon, Jupitar and Venus, but that wasn't working out so I turned my lens to the chimney. :) I had to use Dad's spot light/flashlight in order to see well enough to focus for this photo. :)

Colored Glass -- Day 57

This afternoon I was at a loss for what to photograph. I took a walk and found a few interesting subjects. This one proved to be the best. At first I found just a lone piece of blue glass then discovered green, clear, and brown further down the sidewalk. I took a few shots where I found the glass, but then I decided I'd get better photos if I brought the glass home and didn't have to lay on the sidewalk next to the main road through our neighborhood. I don't know what the people driving by thought. :) So I collected a handful and brought it home to our front walk and sprawled out there instead. At least my family knows me and knows I'm a crazy photographer who does whatever she has to to get the angle she needs. :)

Brothers in a Cabinet -- Day 56

Working on getting caught up with posting my pictures. Looks like this may be a new Tuesday habit. :)

Matt and Nate discovered the fun of an empty cabinet. :) They had the doors closed before I decided to take a picture, they were in there just laughing and chattering away. :)

Missing Amy -- Day 55

My sister, Hannah has been missing her best friend, Amy. She really wants to make a trip to Branson when Amy will be there next month. Today she thought it would be fun to make a fun photo, so she asked me to be the Photographer. Here is the outcome. I thought it turned out pretty cute, Hannah is so photogenic I don't know how it could have not turned out cute. :)

I guess I can say twins run in my job. :) Before my current job I was a nanny for twin girls. Now I get to experience the boy variety. :D Let me tell you, a set of boy twins is NOTHING like a set of girls. These two are so sweet, though they have way more energy. :) Today I let them run off some steam before nap time. :)

Rain Drops -- Day 46

I love the weather in Missouri! The day before yesterday it was in the 30s and snowing and today it was in the 50s and raining. :) I guess all I can say is, it's muddy around here. :)

Clouds Moving In -- Day 43

Today started out sunny, but as evening approached, the clouds started rolling in. I caught this image as the blue was almost ready to disappear completely. I had a little fun with this image after I got it on the computer. I realized I really need to clean my lens/filter/mirror (or something?), so I took off a few smudges that were "on" the clouds. I also adjusted the contrast so that the photo showed a little more of the texture in the clouds and the color of the sky. I also removed four power lines. Can you tell?
Maybe it will snow. Morning will tell. :D

Tonight I found these adorable bookends just laying around. I had never seen them before, so of course I had to inquire as to where they came from. Turns out my sister, Abbie, won them in a blog giveaway recently. :) I put them together with some of my current reading material and made a neat photo. Skate Buddies -- Day 37

We joined a group of friends for a fun night of skating. I took a few photos but none of them turned out accept this one. I actually took this one on my Canon G5. It seemed to handle the lighting conditions better than my Rebel. I had the ISO up as high as it could go (400) and then I used Neat Image to reduce the noise when I got home.  Amber and James really enjoyed skating together. They agreed to pose for me, and I snapped the picture. I just wish I'd paid more attention to composition and had captured their skates in the picture too. :)

Today, my sister finished hand knitting a pair of socks. Now I just need to start a pair. :) Don't they look comfy?
