Jump -- Day 58
Last night I was considering whether to continue this project or not. For some reason it's been a lot harder this time around and I've just not been able to get into it as I have before. I don't know if it's the cold and deadness of winter and my creativity will get better come spring, or if it's just the fact that I feel like I've already photographed everything that I see from day to day. I don't want to do this project if I come to it with a feeling of dread when I get to the end of the day and haven't come up with a good picture idea. But I also don't want to give up just because I don't feel creative. I decided to go at it from another angle. One where I have someone else choose my subject. There are many people who do the 365 project and many of them come up with lists that they share online. I may not stick to a specific list and I may decide on something different as the year goes by, or deviate from a list if I have my own idea, but at least for today, I'm using a list. :) The subject for February 27th was, "Jump." So here you have it.... Today I'll jump in again with both feet and see if I can pull off another 365 Photo a Day challenge even though there are many days I just don't want to do it.

Happy Birthday, Jesus -- Day 356
"Happy birthday Jesus,
I'm so glad it's Christmas!
All the tinsel and lights,
And the presents are nice.
But the real gift is you!
Happy birthday, Jesus,
I'm so glad it's Christmas!
All the carols and bells,
Make the holidays swell,
And it's all about you.
Happy birthday, Jesus!
Jesus, I love you!
Happy birthday, Jesus!
I'm so glad it's Christmas!
All the tinsel and lights,
And the presents are nice!
But the real gift is you!
Happy birthday, Jesus!
I'm so glad it's Christmas!
All the carols and bells,
Make the holidays swell,
And it's all about you!
Happy birthday, Jesus!
Jesus, I love you!
I love you, Jesus!"

Fence Post -- Day 323 -- Winner of Viewer's Choice Poll
I shot this fence post after work today. My Dad works in a shipping warehouse and I'll be working there part time through the Christmas season. The warehouses are located on the owner's land in the country. Makes for some pretty places to take photos. :D

Out of Order -- Day 304
Those of you who check my blog regularly may have been wondering where my photos have been. This time I have a good excuse for not posting. :D My computer has been out of order for most of the week, due to a burning power supply. I thought a photo of the ailing computer would be great for today. At first I took a shot of just the computer and then decided to move it to the table. I looked through the viewfinder and noticed the Patience sign in the background. Very fitting, so I composed the shot to include it. :D

Water Coolers -- Day 299
Tonight we went to an English Country Dance. I wanted to get a great shot of someone dancing, but just couldn't capture the right moment. Then during the last dance I was wandering along and noticed for the first time the water table. I smiled and decided it would definitely make a good photo for the day. This shot portrays a full night of dancing. You can see the families in the background as they energetically dance the Posties Jig, but the main subject of this image shows where those same people will be heading when the dance is done. To the water coolers! :)

To Her Groom -- Day 293
A few months ago I posted a photo of Jake and Hannah on the day of their engagement. Today I got to witness their marriage. :) Here Hannah is on her way to meet her groom.
It was a beautiful wedding that honored God and his design for marriage.

Daniel Portrait -- Day 265 -- Winner of Viewer's Choice Poll
Today we went to a Bluegrass Festival that included a car show. Daniel had the idea to take his picture with one of the cars for today's photo. This truck may not have been his favorite, but it was the only one that worked well for a photo without a lot of distracting background people and other cars. :)

Little Mommy -- Day 263
Emelyn will one day grow up to be a great mommy. She loves her dolls. She has so many, but manages to remember all their names and take care of most of them. :) Sometimes her least favorites get left in the toy box. Sometime I'll have to count how many dolls she has in the house. Half of them are technically Ellise's dolls, but Emelyn is the better mommy and Ellise makes a great aunt. :)
Left to right the baby's names are Elizabeth, Noah, Annie, Abbie and Ashley and Emelyn is holding Olivia.

Ticking Away -- Day 226
Tonight I was desperate. The hours were ticking by and I didn't have a photo. So I looked up and saw the clock and took a picture of it. :) I had taken a few other pictures just before, of other things around the house, but I liked how the clock turned out. According to my camera clock this photo was taken at 22:47:42, so you can see our clock was a little ahead. :)

Saving My First Kiss -- Day 118
Amber and I decided to get creative with a chocolate kiss. I was kind of experimenting with aperture settings which is why my Aperture was at f/32. :)

Patriarch -- Day 96
Grandaddy came for a visit. He sat and told us all kinds of stories, although we should have come up with more questions 'cause he could have kept going I'm sure. :) The light was low and I was trying to capture him without having to bring in extra lighting and distract from the stories, so I ended up doing quite a bit of editing to this. I changed it to sepia to disguise some of the colorful digital artifacts and also ran Neat Image to reduce the noise. I found a filter in Photoshop that I threw on there which makes it look sort of like a painting. I thought it went well with Grandaddy's character. :)
