Explosion of Lights -- Day 150

Baseball Season has started and we now live in the "Sports District." No, we didn't move, but the historic stadium two blocks down the road got a makeover and signs sprouted up that name our neighborhood as the Sports District. And apparently along with the new stadium came a new major league team who now calls the new stadium home and sends up a fireworks display every time they have a home game. :) That is why I was outside at 10 pm snapping pictures of fireworks. :)

Old Typewriter -- Day 142

Although I provided the typewriter and composed the actual shot, I can't take credit for the set-up and styling of this photograph. Thanks to my photographer friend Heather for doing all the work in setting up the scene.

Yellow Flowers and Camper -- Day 138

Well, it's a good thing I make up my own photography rules. That way I can break them. :) I made it 4 days without a flower picture, but I couldn't pass this shot up. I've thought of getting a picture of this camper trailer that is out back of the vintage store down the road, and the yellow flowers just made it even better.

Herbie -- Day 134

It doesn't matter how beat up Herbie gets, he can still pull off his tricks.

Daisy -- Day 133

I know I said I'd try to do a week with no flowers, but I couldn't help that the daisies are in bloom and they call to me from the roadside to and from work everyday. :)

Old Blue Bicycle -- Day 131

I'm going to attempt to make it a week with no flower pictures. Who thinks I can do it? First up, my old bike that I've never ridden. I bought it off ebay several years ago and the forks got bent in shipping, so it sits in the shed waiting. I always forget it's there. Maybe I should learn bike repair and fix it for myself. Or take it apart and combine my two bikes. I have a green one just like it. I bought this one for it's color. :)

Rose Petals -- Day 130

If anyone's getting tired of flowers they should give me some ideas. :)

Goose Family -- Day 129

Saw this goose family while on a picnic today. After tagging this post, I looked back at previous "goose" tags and found that my #129 photo in 2010 was also a picture of a family of geese. :)

Japanese Maple -- Day 128

Not exactly the color you would expect to see in Spring. The Japanese Maple is a deep maroon color, but this particular one, had a shock of bright red on top. :)

Buick Emblem -- Day 127

I came home from work yesterday frustrated again with my 365 project. My sister told me to take a picture of a steering wheel. I walked outside to do just that, but saw the poppies instead. But decided I'd use the steering wheel idea today. :) So here you go, the Buick Emblem on my steering wheel. :)

Poppies -- Day 126

Another favorite flower. All the pretty flowers seem to be blooming closer together this year. Usually the Roses and Poppies aren't blooming until the end of May or beginning of June. I'm going to run out of flowers!

Pink Roses -- Day 125

I love Roses. I don't know if I would consider them my favorite flowers, cause I also like daisies, poppies, and bachelor buttons, but ever since I read a book series by Michael Phillips, roses have had more meaning to me. A couple years ago our neighbor gave me a rose start and it has grown and gotten more blooms each year. Now I just need to get a trellis built so that they don't fall all over the grownd and porch.
