My Buick in the Ditch -- Day 59
Things I'm thankful for.... Dad was with me when I slid off the road, the 4 oncoming cars had passed before I lost control, The blessing of a friend who offered his warm car for us sit in and waited with us for over 2 hours as we waited for the tow truck, Bible reading, Prayer, Dad and I both followed the urge we had earlier in the day to wear/take our boots to the wedding, The rubbermaid tub I keep in my trunk kept the leftovers from the wedding lunch from getting my trunk dirty, Most of said leftovers survived stacked nicely on their plates, None of the glass bottles for recycle that I had in my trunk broke, Insurance that covers tow trucks, Integrity Towing who pulled my car out of the ditch, We were able to pump up my tires and drive safely to Monett on a badly bubbled tire, We made it to Walmart with 10 minutes to spare to get a new tire before the tire and lube closed, Chocolate, My Buick Park Avenue who proved to be a great car, no flipping, and no dents that I noticed even though I took out one of those striped signs that marked the culvert, No one was hurt and God protected and answered our prayers.

Jump -- Day 58
Last night I was considering whether to continue this project or not. For some reason it's been a lot harder this time around and I've just not been able to get into it as I have before. I don't know if it's the cold and deadness of winter and my creativity will get better come spring, or if it's just the fact that I feel like I've already photographed everything that I see from day to day. I don't want to do this project if I come to it with a feeling of dread when I get to the end of the day and haven't come up with a good picture idea. But I also don't want to give up just because I don't feel creative. I decided to go at it from another angle. One where I have someone else choose my subject. There are many people who do the 365 project and many of them come up with lists that they share online. I may not stick to a specific list and I may decide on something different as the year goes by, or deviate from a list if I have my own idea, but at least for today, I'm using a list. :) The subject for February 27th was, "Jump." So here you have it.... Today I'll jump in again with both feet and see if I can pull off another 365 Photo a Day challenge even though there are many days I just don't want to do it.

Matt and His Guitar -- Day 51
This guy loves his guitar. He did a concert for us that was quite entertaining. He can't play any notes, his guitar is out of tune, and you can't understand him when he sings, but he does it all with his whole heart. One day, with a little more practice, he'll be singing and playing up a storm. :)

Nate on the Move -- Day 50
Not the best of images with it being out of focus and not centered right or anything, but I loved it anyway. It's a rare thing to catch a natural smile on Nate, since he's got "Cheeeeeeeeeese" down pat. :) We were playing hide and seek. I hid behind the door and he'd come find me and then run away laughing.

Dolls for Africa -- Day 42
My Mom has a heart for Africa. She began making dresses to send to little girls there and today she completed a batch of dolls to send along with the dresses. I thought they were so cute and colorful.

Choir Bus -- Day 41
Tonight we went to see the African Children's Choir perform. :) Those kids were so energetic and cute. They moved constantly on stage. I didn't have a good seat to get any pictures of the show, but when I went out to my car their tour bus was waiting so I captured it.

Vitamin Girl -- Day 37
I haven't seen this sweet thing for 17 days! That's the longest I've gone without seeing her since the day she was born. :) Here she's enjoying her Shaklee Vitamin while shaking one of Grammy's vitamin bottles. :)

Pink Cookies -- Day 36
This one was not captured from my bed :) I guess I'll save that idea for another time. I thought these cookies were to cute to pass up. They are each about the size of a half dollar.

Dried Sugar Maple Leaf -- Day 35
Sitting on my bed again after not capturing an image earlier in the day, I had the thought, that maybe I could just do a week's worth of pictures all taken at night from the comfort of my own bed. Most people wouldn't guess that this was captured in my room, but I have this dried sugar maple leaf on my bedside table and chose it to be my subject today. :)
And it reminds me of Canada.

Pencils -- Day 34
I'm home from a great vacation to Canada. While I was gone it was easy to find an image from the many that I captured each day, but now that I'm home, here I am at the end of the day without a single new image on my SD card. So I captured this while sitting on my bed before turning out my light.

Colorado Rockies -- Day 33
Just 5 months ago I stood atop that tallest mountain, Mt Evans. :) I didn't think at the time that I'd get to be in Colorado twice so close together. I was so blessed to get to have an unexpected visit with my Aunt, Uncle, and Cousins. :)

Denver International Airport -- Day 32
Riding the moving walkways at Denver International Airport. This was after I'd rushed from the tarmac, after landing 4 minutes before boarding was supposed to end for my connecting flight. I had to wait on the tarmac for my gate checked bag and then head for my departing gate. I arrived 1 minute after the flight was supposed to depart, but instead of me having to tell them that my earlier flight was delayed they told me that the plane was close to it's weight limit and the captain was calculating to see how many more passengers could board. There were at least 3 of us who were supposed to be on that flight and I volunteered to stay behind, if need be, since I had family in Denver that I could stay with. :) I was quite excited when they re-booked my flight for the evening of the next day AND I got a $150 travel voucher. :) It was definitely worth and overweight plane and getting to call my Aunt and askl her to come get me and we'd get to spend the day together. :) I'm sure there were others on the delayed flight and who missed their connecting flight who didn't feel so blessed that night, but I sure did.
