Little Baker -- Day 305
Amber
and I are the camp cooks for American Government Camp for the next
week. This is Sarah, our little helper. :D She's a sweety and a great
cook.

Sizzler Fly-by -- Day 304
This
afternoon while at work, David came in and announced that a hot air
balloon was going by. We all ran out to see and saw that it was Bill
flying by in Sizzler. :) I don't know if Bill heard us, but we were all
yelling "Hi, Bill!" It's fun to know that I've been in that balloon. :D I
think I need to take up a new hobby and learn how to fly.

Man and Wife -- Day 302
Today I went to the beautiful wedding of friends. :) I took this photo as Kaeleigh and Rob looked out at the many witnesses to their vows. :)

Brothers on the Roof -- Day 301
Today my dad and brothers spent most of the day up on our roof. I climbed up there a few times to capture the progress. At this point they seemed to be enjoying themselves. :)

Little Pumpkins -- Day 299
This shot was not thought out at all. It is one of four photos I snapped today while playing "Pass The Pumpkin" with the kids I work with. Ha ha, the game ended up more like "Throw the Pumpkin."
I could probably have come up with a better photo for today, but I'm being lazy. :)

Country Girl -- Day 297
I grabbed this shot of Hannah when I went to pick her up from work. I like that my Dad and Hannah's work place is so picturesque. :)

Rubiks Comparison -- Day 296
Can you see any difference? Besides the slight angle change? When I got my new camera I thought it would be fun to compare my two cameras. Both photos were taken in RAW with the same shutter speed, ISO and aperture. I used the same lens for both photos and both were auto focus. I edited the white balance using Digital Photo Professional for both photos and all other editing was done to both photos at the same time after they were put onto the same canvas in Photoshop. Anyone want to take a guess as to which photo was taken on the old 300D and which was taken on the new 600D?

Old Bottle -- Day 294
This evening I didn't have a subject in mind, but when I walked out the door, I saw this old Watkins bottle sitting among the other junk on our back porch. I picked it up and made my way to the back yard. I noticed that the sun was still casting a small circle of light on the wood chip pile. I set the bottle there and went around to the other side of the pile and snapped a few shots. I liked the effect! Yep, that's how my photography goes some days. :)

Kite Flying -- Day 293
I took my little brother down to the hill to fly his kite. It was good kite flying weather, not quite like March winds, but the kite did stay up pretty good. :)

Migration -- Day 292
On the way home from work, we saw this flock of birds. I had just mentioned that the clouds looked like snow clouds to the north, and when we saw the birds, Amber said "Snow birds!" I don't know what kind of birds they were, but they were white. And it isn't cold enough for snow yet. :D We pulled over so I could capture them as they headed west into the sunset.

New Birth Certificate -- Day 290
I love being the Workman Family Photographer, 'cause I get to capture all the important events. :) Today Nate's new Birth Certificate came in the mail. :) He didn't understand what the big deal was, he thinks he's always been "Nate." But now his Birth Certificate says he is officially, Nate Hosana Workman. :D

Blue Tongue -- Day 289
Yep, back to work, and the joy of all those little chocolate boys. :) Today there were blue lolly pops and hence blue tongues. :)

Fall Colors -- Day 288
I'm enjoying figuring out my new camera. I didn't think it would be so hard getting used to a new one, but it has been interesting. It's funny how a camera can become like a good friend, you just learn what to expect from them. I've been working on figuring out mostly ISO settings and what to set things on to get it to work like I want it to. :) I think I'm going to have to do a comparison shoot with both cameras and see what the differences are.
On the way to church I saw this gorgeous view along the highway. It was overcast and the colors were popping. On the way home Dad stopped on the shoulder so I could snap a photo. The change of lighting, from that morning, changed the look of the colors, but it was still pretty. Wish I could have spent more time, but parked on the shoulder of a large highway isn't really be best place for a photoshoot.

Hold 'em Up -- Day 286
Tonight I found myself staring up the barrel of a shotgun, but I was quicker at the draw and shot him with my Canon. :)

EOS Rebel T3i -- Day 285
Today marks a significant day in this 366 project. My old 2003 Canon
EOS D300 is about to be retired. This may be the last photo I take with
the camera that has served me well for nearly 3 years. Today my sister
dropped a Canon box in my lap and this is what I found inside! A brand
spanking new EOS Digital Rebel T3i. I've had my eye on this camera for a
while and didn't expect it to land in my lap today. I am sooooooo
excited! Thank you to my favorite twin sister and her fiancé. You two
are the best!

White Flowers -- Day 284
A few days ago these little flowers were given to me by a little girl I
know. I was supposed to help babysit her, but ended up sick, she
thought of me and sent these home with Amber. They've been sitting on my
bedside table ever since. :)

Little Hands and After-nap Nido -- Day 282
Every afternoon without fail, when Mark and Luke wake up from their naps they want "Nido." It's a Nestlé powdered milk formula and they love it! It is sweet and warm and yummy in the tummy. I'm not normally thinking of taking photos at this point in the day, but as Luke sat their gulping down his milk, the lighting was perfect and his chubby little hands were oh so cute, so I had to snap away. :)

Wild Flowers and a Little House -- Day 281
I went out to Red Oak II today. Had a great time roaming around with friends and taking photos at the Farm Girl Festival. I love the little house with the blue trim. I also love these "weeds."

Tea Mugs -- Day 280
I found these cute little mugs on Amazon a couple weeks ago. I couldn't resist just buying them. They were going to be a Christmas gift for Amber, but I couldn't help showing them to her early. Besides I wanted to be able to use them, maybe this weekend we can have a tea party with the nephews and nieces. :)

One Slice Left -- Day 278
Another Dominoes night at our house. This time I didn't eat any. I've been feeling bad all day, so thought I'd better keep to a more healthy diet of salad. :)
