Today Mark and Luke helped me make Apple Crisp. Cooking with little boys is a mess. :P But we had fun. Mark was enjoying stirring the topping ingredients together. Don't you love his Lowe's Home Improvement Apron? Making dessert definitely improves the home. :D

Today I took family photos for some good friends. After the formal photos were done, it was play time. Here Joel is trying to work up the courage and timing to jump off the swing into the leaf pile. :)

Golden Leaves -- Day 325

The weather has been perfect the last few days! I was walking along and saw these golden leaves on the ground, so I brought them home for a photo. I don't do "studio" shots very often, but something about those golden leaves made me pull out my poster board again.

Packing Peanuts -- Day 324

I'm not working at 3000toys this year, but the coming of Thanksgiving has reminded me of packing boxes. I've packed many a box with these packing peanuts during my six years as Christmas help at 3000toys. When I was looking for something to take a photo of, I remembered that little mini peanut I found and kept one year. I don't know how those things are made, but that itty bitty one is hard like a resin figurine. Maybe it missed the popping machine?

What a busy day! So busy that I didn't really get any good shots. I'm on a weekend trip with the family I work for. As I sat in my hotel room after 10pm, I looked around and shot this from my spot on the bed.

Even a five year old needs some cuddle time. :) Today, Matthew was acting up and just being rambunctious like little boys do and picking on his brothers, so I grabbed him and held him for a little while. He settled down and enjoyed being the subject for today's photo. :)

How do you pronounce that? "Full, Fool, Fuel?" I pronounce it "Full" even though I'm thinking it's not supposed to be pronounced that way, since it has the macron over the u. Either way my life feels full at the moment, and I'm glad my camera bag is also full. :)
PS This is my most favorite camera bag ever, and it isn't even a camera bag. I got it for less than $20 and made my own padding for the inside. :)

Leaf on Frosty Window -- Day 317

I took a walk out back of my grandparents acreage. My old car is parked out there. I found these two hickory nuts at the base of the windshield. I took a photo of them there, but thought it might be more picturesque to find a better setting. :) So I posed them on this freshly cut stump. :) I love the golden/amber colors of fall!

Work Gloves -- Day 315

Saturday was the perfect day for end of the season yard work. Dad and 2 brothers finished the uncovered section of our roof while some of us shoveled wood chips to cover the garden. :) Those are my gloves taking a break while I photographed. :)

Today the weather was gorgeous! We couldn't resist spending part of the afternoon out enjoying it. Amber raked up a pile of leaves and Vanessa especially was having fun rolling around in the leaves. :)

Today I left my camera at the camp, when I went to work, just in case Amber needed it. I think this was the first time I've been without a camera for most of a day while doing my project. Since I was at work all day without my camera I had to capture a photo when I got back to camp. I took a few random shots in the evening, but didn't really like them, so just before climbing into my bed in my cozy cabin, Amber suggested a night photo. Back out in the cold I went and this is what I found.

Glazing Cinnamon Rolls -- Day 309

This morning 12 dozen cinnamon rolls were made from scratch for the kids at AGC. Yummy! Amber and Cathy know how to make a yummy breakfast. In this photo you can see the hands of the Camp Kiddos helping put on the frosting. :D
