I'm trying to take photos of all the fall colors and decorations, before they get put away and replaced with Christmas things. I love fall and thanksgiving and all the colors that come with them. :)
I put three kernels of corn on this pumpkin to remember the tradition of the pilgrims when they served a few kernels of corn with their meal to remember the long winters with only a small amount of food.

I like this picture. Have you read/heard the poem "Five Kernels of Corn"?
One Thanksgiving, we gave each person five kernels of corn on their plate first, then the poem was read. After that, we passed around a little basket and as each person dropped one kernel into it, they said something they were thankful for. It was really neat because we kept passing the basket until there were no kernels left. Then we ate!:)
