The Joys of Childhood -- Day 34

I went to the library and saw this sculpture of a boy playing with his airplane. It's always there when I walk by, but I hadn't taken the time to stop and really look at it until today. And now I am home and thinking I should have taken even more time and read the plaque. I scanned it and saw that it was dedicated to someone, but have no idea who or why. I think I'll go back one of these days (probably in the spring when the surrounding vegetation is green) and take more time to read and photograph this charming little boy.

Hmm, I remember looking at that figure, and reading the plaque, but I can't remember who it was or why it was there. Now it's going to bother me. Let me know when you find out. I'm sure it wasn't Scott Joplin, but . . :}
